A Message from our Principal

Welcome to Carlisle-Foster’s Grove Elementary School, where students grow to their fullest potential academically, socially, and emotionally. Our students, staff, and parents embrace the pride that we are District Two “Difference Makers!” From our positive attitudes,strong work ethics, willingness to find solutions when needed, always improving things around us and takes pride and ownership in our community!

At our school, we pride ourselves in maintaining high expectations while focusing on the individual needs of each student. We serve 460 students from Kindergarten through fourth grade. We have dedicated teachers who ensure our students benefit from engaging lessons that encourage our students to think critically and solve real-world problems. We are intentional and purposeful in inspiring life-long learners. We believe it is important to model respect, build relationships and foster a school culture where our students feel valued, loved and appreciated.

On a personal level, I have been married to David for over 30 years. We have a daughter, her husband, and grandson, that lives in Hendersonville, NC. Our daughter proudly teaches first grade at Hendersonville Elementary. I received my undergrad from Winthrop University in Special and Elementary Education and graduate degree in Administration from Converse College. I have received the honor of serving as teacher of the year at two different schools. When I am not at school, you will find me relaxing at the lake and spending time building relationships with family and friends.

It is my priority to help provide students with the BEST education in an effective learning environment that enables ALL students to become successful members of our community.
